My Memories Suite Software Giveaway and Review

Recently I was contacted by My Memories to review their digital scrapbooking software. I've dabbled with scrapbooking in the past, but the cost of supplies, and the mess associated with scrapbooking has driven me away from the craft in the past.  Another complaint I have against scrapbooking, is the fact that by the time I finish several pages I dislike the first pages that I worked on (forcing me to redo all that I've done).  The idea of using a digital scrapbooking software was very appealing to me.  All of my supplies would be kept nice and tidy on my computer, I could edit my pages multiple times, and I wouldn't have to go out and purchase die cuts, embossing tools, or little embellishments.

While I haven't had the opportunity to create an entire scrapbook, I have had a great time getting to know the software, and creating Christmas cards, photo gift cards (free template), and even a new calendar for the coming month.

I already see why My Memories Software is rated number one on Amazon. It's a great easy to use product.

I LOVE these photo gift tags for kids that don't read yet!

I found that the software was very easy to use, and made it easy to customize your projects.  There are album templates available if you want to plug in your own pictures and text in and be done, or you can start with a blank album and create something all your own.

When I was first contacted by My Memories I thought that there was a good chance I wouldn't be able to review their product because I was a Mac user, but this was NOT the case.  My Memories Suite is compatible with both PC's and Macs-Hooray.

The software was easy to purchase, download, install, and use.  As with any software it takes a bit of time getting used to the set up of the program, but I can honestly say that I feel like I know the My Memories software about as well as I know Photoshop, and I've been using Photoshop for much longer.

I'm really pleased with this software, and have many future projects in mind.  The software comes standard with a good stock of digital papers, embellishments, and word art. There are several free scrapbooking kits available on their website, and additional bundles that are available for purchase.

As with any program there are a few things that I am still trying to figure out and adjust to.  When creating word art the text doesn't always scale as I change the font size-I'm pretty sure that I just don't have it properly selected.  One of the other things that I'm getting used to is that when I print from the software it doesn't bring up my standard print window, instead it has it's own pop up.  Their pop up print box doesn't have all of the options that mine usually has (including paper type selection).  My printers print quality decreases if the paper type isn't specified.  I've found ways around it, but I do wish that it would at some point direct me to the standard prompts.

The digital software is extremely affordable.  Honestly, you could easily pay more purchasing a small stack of scrapbook paper, brads, and glue stick. I love that I don't have to haul out all of my supplies when I'm ready to sit down and work on a project.  I will also be able to print multiple albums for parents or grandparents (so much better than spending twice the time and money on multiple books).

Do you want the My Memories Suite for yourself?  Well you're in luck, My Memories offered to give one of you lucky readers your own copy of the software.

  12. My first project would be to complete the baby book for my 14 year old and the wedding book for my older son - before their daughter came to be. Then I would make some Navy memory books for my husband's trips across the globe. I love the software and even if I don't win, when I get $50 I'm going back for the software...so maybe I should sell my jewelry...or my kids...
